The challenge
Accessible travel starts long before someone reaches the motorhome.
Adaptive Motorhome Hire set out to make motorhome travel genuinely possible for more people. The website had to do more than look accessible: it needed to help customers understand real adaptations, practical limitations and what a journey might actually feel like before they committed to a booking.
Inkfire worked with AMH from the beginning, shaping an accessible booking website around confidence, clarity and real-world travel needs rather than treating accessibility as a final compliance layer.
Build trust quickly
A specialist new business needed a digital experience that reassured customers before they ever picked up the phone.
Explain adaptations
Vehicle features had to answer practical access questions, not disappear into a generic specification list.
Reduce uncertainty
Important information needed to appear when customers were making decisions, not after they had already started booking.
Leave room to grow
The platform needed an architecture capable of evolving with vehicles, customer accounts, booking workflows and operations.

Digital brand
A travel brand made clearer for the people it exists to serve.
AMH already had a warm, distinctive identity. Inkfire extended it for digital using stronger contrast, clearer hierarchy and a palette that feels calm and outdoorsy without falling into the usual clinical disability-design clichés.
Headings
Atkinson
Clear, confident and highly legible
Atkinson Hyperlegible Next gives the interface personality while supporting quick recognition and readable hierarchy.
Body + controls
Nunito
Friendly without becoming vague
Nunito keeps practical details, booking instructions and supporting information approachable at everyday reading sizes.
Experience design
From “could this work for me?” to a confident booking decision.
For accessible travel, the customer journey starts with questions. The site is structured to help people progressively build confidence rather than asking them to jump from a marketing page straight into a checkout.

Accessibility by design
Accessibility built into the route, not added at the destination.
The build was designed around inclusive navigation, understandable structure and readable content from the beginning. Keyboard-friendly interaction, contrast, responsive layouts and dyslexia-conscious presentation are part of the underlying experience.
Additional accessibility preferences enhance that foundation. They are not being asked to repair inaccessible code after the fact.
Built to evolve
Built for one launch, designed for the business after it.
The original architecture was deliberately shaped so AMH could grow beyond a brochure website. As the business has evolved, the digital platform has been able to accommodate increasingly sophisticated booking, customer and operational needs.
Availability that connects to real operations
The platform has evolved to support date selection, availability, booking information and a more joined-up path from product research to travel planning.
A relationship beyond checkout
Customer account and portal experiences give the architecture room to support communication, documents, payments and ongoing trip information.
More than a simple payment button
The system can support deposits, payment evidence, balances, extras and the commercial rules needed by a specialist hire business.
The public site and the team behind it
Calendar, care, support, reviews and operational tooling can evolve alongside the customer-facing experience instead of living in disconnected systems.
The platform continues to evolve with Adaptive Motorhome Hire. This case study focuses on the accessible foundation and the architecture that made that growth possible.
The impact
A digital platform that matches the promise of accessible travel.
The result is a clearer, more inclusive path into a specialist travel service. Customers can understand what the vehicle offers, ask better questions and move towards a booking with more confidence, while AMH has a digital foundation that can keep growing with the business.
“Inkfire helped us bring our vision to life online – creating a platform that puts accessibility front and centre and supports our growth as we continue to expand what we do.”
Accessibility as infrastructure
A platform that can grow without leaving people behind.
AMH’s digital experience was built around a simple principle: accessible travel should feel possible before the journey even begins. That means clear information, thoughtful interaction and technology that can evolve with the people and business using it.
