Inkfire Receives Scope’s 2025 Inclusive Workplace Award

Advancing accessibility and inclusive employment across the creative sector

We are delighted to share that Inkfire was honoured with the Inclusive Workplace trophy at the Scope Awards 2025 (May 2025). The award recognises our commitment to dismantling the invisible barriers that prevent disabled people from thriving in the marketing and technology industries.

“This award belongs to our team- some who were in the room, most joining remotely. Every workflow we’ve designed, every role we’ve created, has been shaped by lived experience – and that is our super‑power.”
— Imali Chislett, Co‑Founder & Director, acceptance speech

Recognition from Scope

“Inkfire demonstrates how a disability‑led culture fosters innovation, productivity and a genuine sense of belonging. Their operational model provides a clear blueprint for other organisations.” – Scope Awards 2025 judging panel

Subsequent Media Coverage

  • BBC News profiled our founders in “Couple quit 9‑to‑5 to launch disability‑led firm” (2  July 2025).
  • Metro examined Inkfire’s inclusive employment model in “25,000 agencies – but only one like Inkfire”(24 May 2025).

This exposure amplifies the wider conversation about accessible employment and validates the benefits of an inclusive workforce.

Strategic Next Steps

  1. Open‑source resources: We have plans to release further flexible‑working and accessibility guidelines to support peer organisations who want to improve their working practices.
  2. Building skills and confidence: Through our new ‘back to work’ scheme, we’re helping to close the employment gap and get people back into work, in a way that is best for them.
  3. Industry advocacy: Inkfire will continue to engage with trade bodies and policy‑makers to drive equitable pay and representation standards.

Our Culture in Practice

“We’re proud of the work we do – but even more proud of how we do it: with empathy, humour and courage. What we’ve developed is a culture of trust, compassion and adaptability – and, honestly, it’s the best place to work.”
— Imali Chislett, acceptance speech

Appreciation

We extend our thanks to:

  • Our colleagues – whose expertise, creativity and resilience form the foundation of our success.
  • Our clients and partners – for championing accessible design and inclusive project delivery.
  • Scope – for recognising the importance of disability‑led leadership in reshaping workplace culture.

We look forward to collaborating with organisations over the next few months and beyond that share our vision of a barrier‑free creative sector.
