After a successful period of pilot testing with positive feedback from both volunteers and clients, Inkfire are excited to announce our Back To Work scheme, an incredible opportunity designed to support individuals within the disabled community by providing hands-on experience and training in real-world projects. Our goal is to foster inclusivity, accessibility, and equal opportunities in the workplace, empowering people to build skills and confidence as they re-enter the job market.
What is the Back To Work Scheme?
The Back To Work scheme offers individuals the chance to gain practical work experience alongside our core team. Over the course of three months, volunteers will work on projects for companies or charities focused on becoming more inclusive and accessible to the disabled community. This initiative may involve reduced or free services, helping to give back to the community and promote collaboration within the workplace.
What You Can Expect
As a volunteer on the Back To Work scheme, you will receive direct training and support in a job role while contributing to impactful projects. This will be an invaluable opportunity to develop your skills, gain confidence in the workplace, and make meaningful connections within a professional setting. While there is no obligation to continue after the contract ends, you will leave with experience and skills ready to get into a paid role.
Additional Support
To make your time with us as comfortable and productive as possible, we may be able to provide you with a laptop if you don’t already have a suitable setup at home. Our aim is to ensure you have everything you need to succeed during your training period.
Is your organisation committed to inclusivity? By partnering with Inkfire’s Back To Work scheme, you can provide meaningful projects that empower disabled individuals while enhancing your company’s social impact. Join us in fostering a more inclusive workforce. Contact us today to discuss how your next project can contribute to this initiative.
Looking Ahead: Opportunities for Paid Roles
At the end of the three-month scheme, there is potential for us to offer you a paid contractor role, depending on our current capacity. If this is not feasible at that time, we are committed to helping you find a suitable position through our trusted partners, Patchwork Hub and BASE. These organisations provide valuable support for disabled individuals seeking employment, ensuring you continue on your career path with guidance and opportunities.
Why It Matters
The Back To Work scheme is more than just a training opportunity—it’s about building strong, lasting relationships within the disabled community and demonstrating the power of collaboration. By working together, we can create a more inclusive workforce, where businesses focus on empowering people rather than chasing major profits.
We’re proud to be a part of this initiative and look forward to welcoming passionate, dedicated individuals who are ready to take the next step in their professional journey. If you’re interested in joining the Back To Work scheme, get in touch with us today.
