Website Accessibility Features

We have put a lot of effort into making our website accessible, but we know it’s impossible to get it 100% right the first time. It’s an ever-evolving process that we’ll need to keep revisiting. For the time being though, here’s what we’ve done:

Skip Nav button – this is built into the header and jumps past the navigation menu on each page so that screen readers can skip past it.
Button Size – every button should be a minimum of 44px wide and high
Alt Text – every image has alt text where available
Text & Images – no images have text embedded (excluding the logos – these have alt text to compensate). Any text that has an image behind should be of a high contrast to make it readable
Scalability – all pages should be scalable to 400% without losing functionality
Colourblindness – Cameron is red-green colourblind and has tested each page to ensure it is readable for those with red-green colourblindness. If you have a different type, please let us know as we’d love to hear feedback

Website Accessibility Statement

We are committed to making our website as accessible as possible, and therefore it is tested for accessibility every 3 months. We want everyone to be able to us use it, no matter what their impairments are and which technologies they use. We have created the site by taking best practice web accessibility guidelines into account, including WCAG compliance.

Adapting your experience to your needs

We have made the site as usable as we can, but you might have a better experience if you change the settings on your computer to suit your individual needs. For example you might change the site’s colours, increase the text size, or have the site spoken aloud.

Latest updates

May 2024 testing included 31 pages, with tests carried out on Apple and Android mobile devices and on PCs with Chrome 103, Firefox 102 with Non-Visual Desktop Access (NVDA).

Internet Explorer is no longer supported by Microsoft and has been removed from our testing schedule.
