Adaptive Motorhome Hire.

# An accessible booking experience built around confidence, independence and real travel needs.

Adaptive Motorhome Hire set out to make motorhome travel possible for more people. Inkfire worked with the team from the beginning, extending the brand into an accessible digital experience that helps customers understand adaptations, explore the vehicle and move towards a booking with confidence. The challenge was not simply making a website accessible. It was making complex accessibility information clear enough for somebody to decide whether a real journey could work for them.

The challenge

## Accessible travel starts long before someone reaches the motorhome.

Adaptive Motorhome Hire set out to make motorhome travel genuinely possible for more people. The website had to do more than look accessible: it needed to help customers understand real adaptations, practical limitations and what a journey might actually feel like before they committed to a booking.

Inkfire worked with AMH from the beginning, shaping an **accessible booking website** around confidence, clarity and real-world travel needs rather than treating accessibility as a final compliance layer.

01

### Build trust quickly

A specialist new business needed a digital experience that reassured customers before they ever picked up the phone.

02

### Explain adaptations

Vehicle features had to answer practical access questions, not disappear into a generic specification list.

03

### Reduce uncertainty

Important information needed to appear when customers were making decisions, not after they had already started booking.

04

### Leave room to grow

The platform needed an architecture capable of evolving with vehicles, customer accounts, booking workflows and operations.

Accessibility information is presented as part of the core product experience, not hidden on a policy page.

Digital brand

## A travel brand made clearer for the people it exists to serve.

AMH already had a warm, distinctive identity. Inkfire extended it for digital using stronger contrast, clearer hierarchy and a palette that feels calm and outdoorsy without falling into the usual clinical disability-design clichés.

Experience design

## From “could this work for me?” to a confident booking decision.

For accessible travel, the customer journey starts with questions. The site is structured to help people progressively build confidence rather than asking them to jump from a marketing page straight into a checkout.

**01****Discover**Understand the motorhome, the people behind AMH and what accessible travel with the business looks like.

**02****Assess**Explore adaptations, dimensions, driving aids and practical accessibility features before choosing dates.

**03****Plan**Find the information needed to make a real trip workable for a particular person, chair, group and routine.

**04****Book**Move into availability and booking with the important questions answered and fewer surprises waiting later.

Clear hierarchy and strong visual cues help customers understand what matters before they travel.

Accessibility by design

## Accessibility built into the route, not added at the destination.

The build was designed around inclusive navigation, understandable structure and readable content from the beginning. Keyboard-friendly interaction, contrast, responsive layouts and dyslexia-conscious presentation are part of the underlying experience.

Additional accessibility preferences enhance that foundation. They are not being asked to repair inaccessible code after the fact.

**Keyboard-ready journeys**Important controls and booking actions remain usable without relying on pointer interaction.

**Readable information**Complex vehicle and access details are broken into meaningful, scannable sections.

**Responsive by default**The experience remains practical on the mobile devices people use while researching and travelling.

**Inclusive presentation**Contrast, typography and optional reading preferences support a wider range of users.

Built to evolve

## Built for one launch, designed for the business after it.

The original architecture was deliberately shaped so AMH could grow beyond a brochure website. As the business has evolved, the digital platform has been able to accommodate increasingly sophisticated booking, customer and operational needs.

Booking

### Availability that connects to real operations

The platform has evolved to support date selection, availability, booking information and a more joined-up path from product research to travel planning.

Customers

### A relationship beyond checkout

Customer account and portal experiences give the architecture room to support communication, documents, payments and ongoing trip information.

Commerce

### More than a simple payment button

The system can support deposits, payment evidence, balances, extras and the commercial rules needed by a specialist hire business.

Operations

### The public site and the team behind it

Calendar, care, support, reviews and operational tooling can evolve alongside the customer-facing experience instead of living in disconnected systems.

The platform continues to evolve with Adaptive Motorhome Hire. This case study focuses on the accessible foundation and the architecture that made that growth possible.

The impact

## A digital platform that matches the promise of accessible travel.

The result is a clearer, more inclusive path into a specialist travel service. Customers can understand what the vehicle offers, ask better questions and move towards a booking with more confidence, while AMH has a digital foundation that can keep growing with the business.

**Clearer information**Accessibility features are explained around real travel decisions rather than treated as marketing badges.

**Inclusive UX**Navigation and presentation support a broader range of reading and interaction needs.

**Stronger trust**The website gives a specialist new business the reassurance and professionalism customers need before booking.

**Space to evolve**The architecture has room for a growing fleet, richer booking journeys and operational tooling.

“Inkfire helped us bring our vision to life online – creating a platform that puts accessibility front and centre and supports our growth as we continue to expand what we do.”

**Maxine Currie**Director, Adaptive Motorhome Hire

Accessibility as infrastructure

## A platform that can grow without leaving people behind.

AMH’s digital experience was built around a simple principle: accessible travel should feel possible before the journey even begins. That means clear information, thoughtful interaction and technology that can evolve with the people and business using it.

The team at Inkfire is simply full of lovely people. They have been fantastic in helping me and my busy brain by taking tasks (no matter how small or crazy) and organising them into actions, even when I’m not sure how it’s possible.
They work quickly and diligently, and I really appreciate that they have taken the time to understand how I run my business and its operations so they can assist me in how and when it’s needed.
